About
I’m Molly McCluskey, an award-winning investigative journalist, foreign correspondent, and media entrepreneur with over two decades of experience reporting from around the world. My work - which has appeared in The Washington Post, National Geographic, The Atlantic, Al Jazeera, and other leading national and international outlets - spans international governance, global and personal finance, diplomacy, and environmental and cultural shifts.
Throughout my career, I have been honored with several notable fellowships, including the International Women’s Media Foundation fellowship, which focused on reporting from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. I have also received the McGraw Fellowship for Business Reporting, the Reporting the Border Fellowship with the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), and fellowships with the Vienna Academy of Diplomacy and the Salzburg Global Seminar, among others.
As the founder and CEO of Diplomatica Global Media, I am committed to building sustainable, innovative media models that support solutions-focused journalism. I believe in the power of independent media to drive meaningful change, and I work to make complex global issues accessible and relatable for audiences worldwide. My expertise lies in navigating challenging political environments and reporting from regions undergoing significant transitions.
In addition to my journalism, I consult for organizations looking to expand their global reach, helping them navigate cross-cultural dynamics with ease. Whether I’m advising on international media strategy, creating content that connects diverse audiences, or guiding diplomats through new cultural landscapes, my focus is always on providing actionable insights and practical solutions.
My work is designed for those who want to understand the world more deeply—editors seeking impactful stories, diplomats needing cultural context, and organizations ready to engage with the global landscape.
